After reviewing entries from all around the country, we’re excited to reveal the talented filmmaker who came out on top. Marcellus Hudson has been selected by master producer Datari Turner as the winner of our film contest. In the coming weeks, the pair will work on a Lil Durk music video together for the track NO FEAR. Datari Turner: Modern-Day Renaissance Man

With over 15 years of experience, Datari Turner is one of the most prolific and awarded producers in Hollywood. In 2011 and 2012 alone, he produced a total of 11 films, with “Another Happy Day” going on to win the prestigious Waldo Salt Award for Best Screenplay at the Sundance Film Festival. As a genuine triple threat, Turner is as comfortable behind the scenes as he is in front of the camera. The model-turned-producer/writer/ actor, produced, wrote, and co-starred in the films “Video Girl” and the popular indie comedy “Dysfunctional Friends.” As the Creator and Executive Producer of popular shows Growing Up Hip Hop, and Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta, Turner has also mastered producing for the small screen. To date, he's overseen over 100 hours of original programming for WE TV, BET, TvOne, Starz, and the Oxygen network.

Damon Dash: Natural Born Hustler

As co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, Damon Dash is synonymous with hustle. His entrepreneurial spirit combined with Jay-Z's musical genius helped the label become an empire during the 90's. At the height of their reign, the partners sold the company to Def Jam Records in a multi-million-dollar acquisition.

Dash has since launched the Rachel Roy fashion brand, and created the media collectives dd172 and Poppington. Most recently, however, Dash has focused his energies on film, having produced and directed several films, including collaborations with Lee Daniels and Kevin Hart. Over the last year, the creative entrepreneur has also started the streaming service

Marcellus Hudson: Creative Visionary

Born and raised in the Trinity Gardens community inside Mobile, Alabama, Marcellus Hudson has always had a passion for creating. From an early age he took special interest in movies and music. In 2015, going by the stage name Bama Boy Buck, he released a number of videos showing his galvanizing rhymes and thought-provoking viewpoints. After a number of public performances as a spoken word artist and rapper he became interested in creating videos. He started his production company called Kamittertainment Filmz in 2017. Since then he has produced a number of videos for clients ranging from music videos to promotional videos.
